Jeremy Wayne Rose’s Journey : Alumni Spotlight

Hello, my name is Jeremy Wayne Rose. I grew up in a broken home where my parents divorced when I was 3 years old. I started running with the wrong crowd, at a young age, hanging with the older guys looking for acceptance and to feel wanted. I thought partying on the weekends made me cool and not knowing it would pave the way for the downward spiral that ending up consuming my life.

My thoughts and actions were no longer under my control due to the drugs I was using. In the height of my mess, I didn’t care what drugs I used as long as it kept me high and oblivious to the pains of life. I was in and out of jail and secular rehabs for 16 years, but always went back to using and living life the wrong way.

On May 29, 2018, I reach out for help again and friend of mine suggested Adult/Teen Challenge. After going through detox and completing a 56 day faith based rehab program, I entered Shenandoah Valley Adult Teen Challenge, but still had a lot to learn from God’s love.

SVATC showed me that people and God can love you no matter where you come from. On the mountain at SVATC I was able to gain an amazing relationship with God. As I write this, I am 3 years and 2 months clean. God has restored the relationship with my family, provided a wonderful job and a loving & amazing wife. All praise and glory is owed to God,

I am thankful for the founders and staff at Shenandoah Valley Adult Teen Challenge for showing me love and teaching me how to rely on God to overcome my addiction.

My life verse, that I stand on daily is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

Through God’s grace and strength, we can recover!!!!!!!!!!!!!
