Helping You Break Free From Addiction

Freedom From Addiction

Despite our name, Shenandoah Valley Teen Challenge works extensively with Adults…

…..Most adults who arrive at our doors bring with them a tragic history of substance abuse and other life-controlling problems. At Adult and Teen Challenge the journey to sobriety includes attention to the spiritual needs of the adults who seek our help.

Our Program offers Three Phases…

…designed to position you or your loved one for a lifetime of successful, sober, and drug free Christian living.

The Induction Phase

A faith-based approach, teaching biblical principles through group studies and personal studies.  Individual mentoring, helping students uncover old destructive behavior patterns which led them to and kept them in a lifestyle of addiction.  A new way to think about life which helps students begin the process of making better choices.

The Vocational Phase

A faith-based approach, applying phase I biblical principles in real world environments.  Teen Challenge offers group studies teaching the five components of recovery.  A vocational program in which the students are literally employed, paying their own tuition, saving their own money while in the program.

The Re-Entry Phase

A faith-based approach toward making real life decisions based on their new Godly character.  A process in which students and their mentor plan an exit strategy covering the 6 components of transition and financial direction: employment, communication, transportation, home church, recovery maintenance plan, and a place to live upon graduating Teen Challenge.
