You need people who understand

Our family support groups are for parents, spouses, and loved ones walking through the addiction of someone they love. These groups give families a place to be honest, learn practical tools, pray, and find support from people who understand the weight they’ve been carrying.

SVTC was founded in 2000 by Rev. John Franich in a one-room office in the Shenandoah Valley. Today, his son Justin, a Teen Challenge graduate clean since 2005, leads the ministry alongside his wife Ashley.

When you call SVTC, you’re not calling a case manager. You’re talking to someone who has been where your loved one is and who has watched a family survive what yours is going through right now.

Rob Grant, SVTC’s Community Engagement Director, is also a Teen Challenge graduate. He takes family referral calls, mentors men in early recovery, and co-hosts the Rebuilding Life After Addiction podcast.

We are not a residential program. We don’t admit people. What we do is walk alongside families. In the crisis, through the program search, and after placement. As long as you need us.

Today that looks like raw content that reaches families nationwide and real discipleship gatherings happening right here at our ministry center in Mount Jackson.
